Christopher Lee was born in Coffs Harbour on the Mid North Coast of NSW, Australia. He is currently undertaking undergraduate studies of a BE in Chemical Engineering (Honours), and BSc in Chemistry (Honours) at UNSW Sydney.
His Engineering Honours was completed in 2018 under Asoc Prof Frank Lucien, regarding the scale up of carotenoid and anthocyanin extraction from natural matrices using conventional solvents and supercritical fluids. Following the completion of this work Chris proceeded to do further research on the extraction and characterization of these compounds for the sponsoring company Abundant Produce.
In January 2020 Chris commenced his Science Honours work in the area of molecular machines. His current work centres on the sequential production of [3]rotaxanes using a molecular dual pump under the supervision of Sir Fraser Stoddart and Dr DJ Kim.
