Dr. Sang-Tae Lee was born in Yosu, Southern South Korea. He obtained a Bachelor's in Education (BEdu) and a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in South Korea before moving to Sydney in 2000. He completed his Ph.D. under the supervision of Associate Professor Stephen Colbran, focusing on model studies of the CuB-Histine-Tyrosine Centre in Cytochrome c oxidase. Dr. Lee's research interests include modelling artificial respiratory energy systems, particularly molecular proton pumps in Cytochrome c oxidase.
